About ProposalAI
ProposalAI is a free web app that helps freelancers draft Upwork cover letters from a resume and a pasted job post. It is run independently. It is not a job board, not an agency, and not part of Upwork.
The problem it addresses
Writing a specific proposal takes time. Many people paste the same letter onto every job, or dump a resume into the cover letter field. Clients then have to guess whether the applicant read the brief.
ProposalAI is built to produce a structured first draft: extract skills from a resume you upload, optionally analyze the post, generate a letter you can edit, and copy plain text into Upwork yourself. It does not submit bids and it does not promise interviews.
Who it is for
Freelancers who already do the work — especially software and related skilled jobs — and want a faster way to start a letter that still needs their judgment. If you cannot do the job, a draft will not fix that.

The guides, examples, and templates on this site are original teaching material. They do not use invented reply-rate statistics. They are not copied from live Upwork threads.
