1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Upwork Proposal("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use ProposalAI(the "Service") at https://upworkproposl.pro. By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
ProposalAI is an independent product and is not affiliated with Upwork Global Inc. Signing in here creates a ProposalAI account only — we never ask for your Upwork password.
2. Information we collect
Account information
When you register with email, we collect your name, email address, and a password stored as a one-way hash. If you sign in with Google, we receive the profile fields Google shares for that sign-in (typically name, email, and photo).
Resume and profile data
If you upload a PDF or DOCX resume, we extract text in memory and store structured fields (skills, experience, projects, and other details the parser returns) on your user record. We do not keep the original file as a downloadable blob. You may also enter the same fields manually. Optional profile fields such as an Upwork profile URL and writing-voice preferences are stored if you save them.
Job and proposal content
Job descriptions you paste, generated cover letters, edits, match notes, and related analysis are stored in your proposal history when you save or generate according to the app flow.
Usage and technical data
We record proposal generation counts to enforce the daily draft limit, and we may store IP address and similar request metadata for rate limiting and security. Authentication uses session cookies (NextAuth). Theme preference may be stored in the browser.
Payment information
We do not collect payment cards or run a checkout. There is no paid plan.
3. How we use information
- Provide sign-in, resume profiles, job analysis, and proposal drafts;
- Enforce daily generation limits and abuse protections;
- Send transactional email (verification codes, password reset, account notices);
- Respond to support requests you send us;
- Comply with law where required.
4. AI processing
Resume parsing, job analysis, question extraction, proposal drafting, and phrase highlighting send relevant text you provided (resume excerpts, job posts, prompts) to a third-party AI API (currently Groq). That provider processes data under its own terms. We use the output to show you results in the Service. We do not offer a separate control in this app to opt your prompts out of a provider’s training policies; review Groq’s documentation if that matters to you.
5. How we share information
- Hosting and database — the site is hosted on Vercel; application data is stored in MongoDB Atlas;
- Google — if you choose Google sign-in;
- Email delivery — to send one-time codes and account email via our configured mail provider;
- AI provider — Groq, as described above;
- Advertising — Google AdSense on public pages (not on signed-in app screens such as generate, dashboard, or settings). Google may set cookies as described in their policies;
- Legal — if required by law or to protect the Service.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use a payment processor.
6. Cookies
Essential cookies keep you signed in (NextAuth) and may store theme. Advertising cookies can be set by Google on public pages. We do not currently load a separate analytics product (such as Google Analytics). See the Cookie Policy.
7. Data retention and deletion
We keep account data while the account exists. You can delete your account in Settings. Deletion removes your user record (including stored resume extractions and writing-voice preferences), linked authentication records, and proposal documents stored for that account. Email one-time codes expire automatically. Backups and server logs may persist for a limited time.
8. International transfers
Providers may process data in the United States and other countries where they operate.
9. Your rights
You may access or correct profile fields in Settings, or delete the account. For other requests, email support@upworkproposl.pro.
10. Children
The Service is not intended for anyone under 16 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction).

We will post updates on this page and change the "Last updated" date.
