How to write a strong opening

After you generate, the cover letter editor is the place to rewrite line one. The model often produces a polite summary. Replace it with one specific observation from the post.

You can also set hook style under Custom before you generate, then still rewrite the opening. Controls are not a substitute for reading the job.

A 30-second edit

• Highlight the first sentence of the job post.
• Delete your draft’s first sentence if it could fit another job.
• Write one decision or constraint instead.
• Keep “Hi,” or “Hi [Name],” on its own line.
